She came to escape a mentally, emotionally, and physically abusive relationship with the man she lived with for the last five years. Every year, over 1200 women and their children come to our area’s battered women’s shelters to escape an abusive situation in their home. Most leave their homes with nothing but the clothes on their back.
Heart To Heart is an organization providing basic household supplies to support these women and their children and help them rebuild their lives free of abuse.
